The court of the Murmansk region imposed the first punishment for reactions in the form of likes.
The Kovdorsky district court of the Murmansk region fined a local resident for reactions in the form of likes under videos on YouTube. As follows from the resolution, pensioner Vasily Yovdia was found guilty under the article on public discrediting of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and fined 30,000 rubles.
The case file states that the man, while at his place of residence, left "approving comments (reactions in the form of likes)" under videos on YouTube channels that are listed as foreign agents in the register of the Ministry of Justice.During the trial, Yovdiy pleaded guilty and repented. The judge took into account these circumstances, as well as the fact that the man is a pensioner, so he imposed the minimum penalty provided for in Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
