External SSDs are usually valued for speed and volume, but TeamGroup decided to show Computex 2026 a completely different scenario. The company introduced the T-Create Expert P35SG - an external SSD with remote data destruction. And you can erase the data remotely, which distinguishes the device from a similar model presented last year.
The main feature of the P35SG is the presence of a built-in 4G LTE module and the ability to take a command for self-destruct even without connecting to a computer. To start, it is enough to send an SMS message to the drive. Details of the work of the teamGroup mechanism have not been disclosed. Whether there is a built-in battery or slot for a SIM card is still unknown.
However, the manufacturer states that after receiving the P35SG command performs a deep logical cleaning, and then emits an electrical impulse damaging the hardware part. Such a set of actions should completely eliminate data recovery.
TeamGroup has already used a similar idea in the T-Create Expert P35S, but there the process was running a physical button on the body. The new version transfers the script to remote mode. The P35SG also maintains local control and adds dedulging notifications so that the owner can check the status of the process.
The company also showed a more calm option for everyday work. The T-Create Expert P33 received a display on electronic ink, where you can see the remaining free space, the technical condition of the drive and its name without connecting to the computer.
